I have a leak coming from under the oil cooler. not sure exsactly where. but plan is to take it apart clean every thing. replace hoses if i need to.

What else is needed . not sure About orings or not or where to find them.

Any other info on this would be appreciated.

The oil like to sit on my mazda logo and work its way down my motor.

There is two o-rings for the oil pedestal mount. These two rings also work to replace the rings in the oil cooler to pedestal.

there are a total of four o-rings on the oil cooler. two that mount the unit and pedestal to the engine and two between the oil cooler and the pedestal. the two between the pedestal and the engine commonly fail. here's what you will see when replacing the o-rings. use ONLY mazda oem o-rings:

Yes, you will need to replace all of the hoses located below the cooler. Once they get contaminated with oil, they begin to break down. Eventually, they will blow and leave you stranded, or even worse with an overheated/blown engine.

This was the first project I ever undertook on my car after purchase. Getting to the (17mm?) bolt on the backside of the cooler is the toughest part.

Good luck.
