Did a search and everybody seems to be asking how to TAKE off their lenses; I'm trying to put mine back ON!!!

Seriously, stuck it back on years ago with dum-dum (window gunk) but it won't stay. Is black silicone a good alternative? I'll scrape all the junk off if I have to but I want to be sure I have a better alternative.

Sanspistons with failing lenses (not only on the car...)

 

Clear silocne is more forgiving for mistakes, but dealers also carry a strip adhesive designed for lenses. I bought mine at the Olds Dealer when I replace the tail lense that is as wide as the car.

 

i used a glue called goop. worked good and it seals also. i got it at walmart
