'85 still won't turn off

Re: 85 that won't turn off. We replaced the ignition wiring, but the engine still keeps running when the key is turned off. Still having to unplug the alternator. It starts up fine and runs perfectly. Any other suggestions?

Did you replace the actual key cylinder?

No, I didn't replace the actual key cylinder. It moves the switch in the wiring harness fine, so I don't think there is a problem there. It turns to all the designated slots. Cody, that's a fine looking 1st gen.
