I am trying to remove my radio and have removed the A/C and Heater switches but cannot seem to determine how to remove the bottom part of the plastic near the ash tray. It appears as if it is attached to the plastic that surrounds the gear shift. Please help.

There are two screws under the shifter surround that hold the bottom of the console surround in. Pull up on the rearward end of the shifter surround (gently) It should pop out.

 

Thank you - it was just as you described. It was a breeze - removed the original radio and now I am set to go.
