Picked up a miata shifter on e-bay but no instructions . Myquestion is what to do with the ond ball race in the housing? Leave in or remove.

The new Miata race goes on the bottom, old one will go on top after the spacer is in.

I figured it out and now it shifts like a dream and all for 43.95
