85 RX7 12A Won't Start

MY RX7 has been in storage for two years. It was running good when placed in storage. It won't start. It trys to start but won't pick it up. I pulled the spark plugs. The two top plugs was wet from gas and the two bottom plugs was dry. When I dried the plugs. The car alomost started twice but would not hold the idle. Please help!

i am sure buy now the gas is bad. better drain that to start with!!! Carb could be gunked up....might be time for a rebuild. When mine was like this i drained and rebuilt carb. new plugs. little mmo down the carb, turned engine over buy hand. shot a little starting fluid down the throat and boomb she fired over. Chances are you gotta a lotta crap in the fuel system. Better check to see if any mice made a home in your bay aswell. But above all others use the search button. Tons and i mean tons of threads on this subject. Good luck

Try unflooding the motor and getting a new fuel filter first, then try to start it with some starting fluid. It is cold in Maryland right now, so the car will be harder to start.

you need to check for spark on the trailing plugs. chances are you have a bad trailing ignitor.

glad to hear it, but chances are you could have got it going by just deflooding the engine.
