Unhappy 85 rear axle leaking

i have an 85 rx7 gs and i have aquired a leak coming from the driverside wheel. at first i thought it was brake fluid but i pulled the wheel and drum off and there was no fluids around the wheel cylinder. i then swiped the fluid with my finger and discovered that it was rear diff fluid. im figuring it is the rear axle seal. i have no clue what im doing when it comes to rear end work. i know i have to get the axle out somehow but i have no clue how. i know on most rear ends there is a diff cover, but the rx7 doesnt have one unless the bolts are hidded
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
thanks

the axle just pulls right out. remove the brake shoes and hardware, then the 4 bolts. get an axle puller to pull the axle out. the seal is right there at the end of the axle tube.

Replace both rear wheel bearings along with the seals (remember to drain the fluid before puling the axles). The wheel bearings require a press to remove/replace the bearings. A machine shop can normally do this for a modest fee.
