85 Hatch Glass falling

Hey everyone, so I put on some louvers and took off my hatch glass and ever since the window if the struts are attached it falls down slowly and the gap where you open it goes from about 1/4 inch and slowly it'll fall down till its about 1/8 or smaller than a gap between the glass and the body. Are my struts too strong or something? They were fine before when I replaced them and I had no issues until I took off the glass to add brackets, I've undone that since then and it still does it. Any tips?

The structs could be bad. The louvers are the issue. What happens if you take the louvers off?

If you need new struts, the STRONGARM4709. Best price is on RockAuto. You'll need to take the wiring off the passenger side factory struct by cutting the botton crimped on nub. The one of the StrongArm screws off.

So my struts hold up the glass with the louvers and they hold fine, I replaced em a few years back with some ones off Amazon, and previously had no issue. I still have the glass sliding issue with the louvers off
