Sad to say my 1985 GSLSE was totaled last Saturday. I am heartbroken. Strong engine sitting in her at the body shop,

My 1985 GSLSE project car is sad as well.

Good bye good times!

How was it totaled? Was it really totaled or did the insurance just write it off? You could get it back
for a nominal fee usually but it may end up with a salvage title, depends on your states laws.

Any pics?

TG I was sideswiped. Been driving rebuilding and having fun with 7`s since 1989. Waiting on Insurance. Hope someone needs parts/project.

"RE SUPER INJECTION" - I've never seen that before on the RE-EGI chamber...

Sorry to hear it, but don't let them total it - the parts you have in your pictures are worth $thousands to the right buyer. Good luck,

Kind of a cool, rare part there from Japan. Best of luck with you in your decision! Please don't let it get turned into scrap metal and those rare parts melted down.

If the mechanicals are fine... you could buy a roller and make one good car! How many miles on the engine?

If that happened to my 84 I would be devastated.
But then I would do nothing. Take no action until I could separate the loss from the possibilities.

Stall the insurance co. Work through all the possibilities. You don't want to make a decision you'll kick yourself for in 6 months.

Cameron,

It was rebuilt before I got the car. Probably more than 70 less than 120K. Runs smooth and strong great compression and passes smog like a charm.

So you're saying the car had 70k on it when you bought it and the engine had already been rebuilt. If you part out the car and list the engine in the parts section somebody will definitely buy it. If only as a spare.

If we were closer I would buy the whole SE from you. Hands down looks like it was an amazing and well appreciated car!

Is this a for sale thread? I didn't see an asking price. "Make Offer" threads aren't supposed to be allowed.
