85 gsl tranny

How much power can the tranny in my 85 gsl handle? Another question, what are the stock driveshafts made of?
Thanks!

The driveshafts can take just about all the N/A power you can throw at them. The U-joints may get damaged with high rpm launches though.

I am pretty sure they are steel. Although my stock one was pretty light.

Torque and driving style kill trannies more than HP.

I know it doesn't answer your question, but I've run a stock tranny in my 230 hp racecar for a few weekends without hurting it.
