85 GSL Sum Roof problem
85 GSL - Sun Roof - I over tightened the **** that closes the sun roof on my 85 and heard a nasty noise you know the one I mean - took it apart but nothihng seems to be broken but now the sun roof does not want to tighten securly - is it an adustment thing within the unit or is it really broke!

I tried JB Weld (great stuff) But the plastic screw broke off so flush it couldn't hold on to anything. I think it's because I'm a dumb *** lefty and still tighten things when I should be loosening them.

So you can fix that thing by tearing it apart and gluing the screw that pushes the sunroof up and down?
Mine visually looks fine. It even moves the roof up and down MOST times, but you can push it down from the outside, or push it up from the inside.

Yeah, it can be repaired. The only drawback to repairing it, is if you lock your keys in the car...... I did that the same day I repaired mine, had to re-repair it the following day, and also had another key made. Too bad that key got broke.............
