'85 GSL-SE fuel Issue?
Good morning all. I ordered a new fuel pump and filter for my old girl yesterday. She has been acting up a bit. First thing I noticed is she stopped revving over 5K, then it was like she was starving for fuel altogether, with intermittent bucking, like one second fuel was getting in and the next second not. I have also noticed a loud buzzing noise. (I believe it to be the fuel pump.) Any tips on how to go about replacing it? I am not even sure where it is, or how about opening up the high pressure lines without getting sprayed with fuel? Is their a valve somewhere to release the pressure? Any help/directions to old threads would be greatly appreciated!!

pull the bin and unplug the fuel pump, and start the car, it'll run for 10-20 seconds, and then die cause the fuel pump is off.
then you don't have to worry about high pressure fuel, cause there isn't any. it IS handy to have some big bolts or something to plug the hoses.
there also is a little filter in the line before the pump, clean that out, its probably the whole problem

Thank You!
Thank you for the response. I got it all in and she runs like a new car!!
Unfortunately, I also learned that she must have a rusted belly of a gas tank!!!
