85 gsl?

i'm looking at purchasing an 85 gls with 150,000 miles, some rust, and a bad power steering pump for $600. any ideas how much a new pump or fixing the current one would cost? also, how long can i expect the engine to last? thanks.

Where's the rust?

RX-7s here in the NorthEast are known for being rustbuckets if ever driven in the winter....

And let me tell you, a little rust gets worse real quick! (My parts car was jacked up for the last time this weekend, hehe)

I had a GLS that I sold last year. It was at 198,000 miles. The kid who bought has it will over 200,000. The seals started to leak at about 184,000 and it would smoke a bit as the oil burned off. But always started and was faster that the 84 GLS I have now that has 45,000 on it.

The rust that gets the rear wheel wells is easy to patch.
I use sheet metal and poleurthane (spelling). The patches I have done in this method have lasted for several years.
