carb help please

im rebuilding the niki again because in all honesty i did a half *** job last time with it, and did not pull the main bodys parts out

i did a search and found a thread for an older carb and figured they would be pretty much the same....but the thread only showed one check ball, the one w/ the smaller weight. mine also has a second ball w/ a larger weight when i turned the body over (to rremove the gasket) it dropped out, and dont know where it dropped from a pic would be sooooo nice....

thanks in advance.

Check this thread. It shows some nikki diagrams that I put together. Also, if you're wanting to remove all the emissions junk and simplify these diagrams will help.

BTW: I think that check ball may be for the accelerator pump? Not sure, but I was thinking that it goes in that general vicinity somewhere. I remember Rx7Carl telling people to watch out for it when they open up their carburetors. At least you didn't drop it on the floor and lose it.

i now have an idle at 650-700 rpm sweeet. but, when you get on the gas and look down the carb the primary closest to the rad is not getting any fuel spray down the venturi. what did i do wrong?

i drove the car around the block and there is absolutly no power until the secs are opened then zoooooom. WTF?

Can you see fuel in the sight glass window? Level should be right at the halfway mark. Is it not fuel throught the venturis, the AP or both?

My carb wasn't getting any fuel at all; when I was rebuilding it, I took everything that I could apart and sprayed every hole that I could find.

No reference materials at all! [surprised it even went back together ]

It ran sweet after that. You might just have a hole plugged somewhere.

I guess I should clarify. Check the level in the chamber like trochoid suggested, and if it does not have any in it, check the main jets coming from the top section leading to the chamber. (There are about four different places that are really easy to plug up in between the main fuel line and those main intake jets.)

If the gas level is good in the chamber, then there's a plug further down into it and the best thing to do is to tear it back down and blow carb cleaner through every little hole that you can possibly see.

Did you remove the jets and inspect them? On my first rebuild I missed this, and still had issues. I had to do it over again, removing the jets and cleaning the crud that was blocking the holes...
