ok im thinking of getting some new rims some time this year, so id like to know what bolt patter and off set the 85 Gs 12A has, all so im installing a GSL-Se (LSD) rear end, from what i was reading the bolt patterns are diffrent from the GS?

Yes they are. 4X110 vs 4X114.3 for the SE. Swap the fronts out to the SE pattern. You will have a much wider choice of wheels.

 

id like to get these rim they kind of caught my eye lol, worse comes to worse il just have to get my spinddles machined.

ok so the GSL-SE has a bo9lt pattern of 4X110
and the SE hase 4X114.3

 

All first gens have 4x110

EXCLUDING only the GSL-SE which has 4x114.3

There is no SE model in the first gen lineup.


Those wheels are fugly.

If it's a four lug S4 it'll be the same a a GSL-SE

4x114.3

 

My bad, I usually refer to the GSL-SE as SE in the 1st gens. There is an SE in the 2nd gens, a base model with extras and the 4 lug 4X114.3 bolt pattern.

Iirc, there were no 4 lug wheels in 88, 86-87 only.

 

I had an 88 SE with the phone dials, so I know they exist.
In fact, the 88 SE had polished phone dials, rather than the standard flat phone dials of the 86-87. Check the 2nd gen FAQ.

 

yea i think the stock bolt pattern is 4x110mm.... just from my observation

but if you got a gsl-se.. thats a whole notha story

Ok, if it hasen't been made perfectly clear, YOUR car has the 4x110 bolt pattern, and currently there are absolutely no wheels in production with that bolt pattern. Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, because in this case I wish I was. You said your car was a 85 GS with a 12A, well think of it this way, if the car had a 12A stock, then the bolt pattern is 4x110, if the car had a 13B stock, then the bolt pattern is 4x114.3.

Polished or flat, the phone dial rims went out of favor for me when the touchtone phones showed up. lol
