84 SA w/s5 13bt

If god loves me than this beauty will soon be mine. I am waiting on the bank to process my loan for $7500.00. found the car on goo, and its aobut a 4 hour drive from me in Gunma Prefecture. dropped a deposit yesterday, and went to the bank today. according to the shop it has a s-5 13bt, looks like they kinda jerry rigged the motor mount though. Have to jerk it all and clean up the inevitable mess that they left we will know soon enough though....

1st photo is side shot in front of shop in the on ephoto you can see the engine they dropped in. it looks like they used a supra fmic on the front.

cheers

Looks nice, except under the hood.Judging by the dual TPS Id say it is indeed a S5.I wonder how they did the front cover? The FB motor mount isnt compatible with the 2nd gen front cover, and the big S5 oil metering pump wont bolt to a GSL-SE front cover.
I had a custom SE cover made for my S5 conversion so I could keep the electric OMP and S5 ECU/controls.

I couldn't personally inspect the vehicle, as I am going through a local dealership, they inspected it, and claimed it to match my main criteria straight, unbent frame (no wreck with damage to the actual frame) and nothing more allowed than minor surface rust.

the prior owner let it sit for about 6 months, (hence the dirt) but my local dealership reports that it starts easily, and they also let it idel, and then restarted it after it had reached operating temps (per my request) to check hot start ability.

I paid my deposit to the local dealership. the car itself is only 500000 in yen about $5000.00 but then there is transportation, and a emissions certificate for the engine (required due to engine swap) (plus there cut) and they are also including a spare FC tranny as the one in it makes a grinding sound (it currently has a FC tranny installed w/cut driveshaft.

I am currently just going bonkers waiting for my loan app to get approved by Navy Fed, I originally tried to sell my 3 rotor engines to support this new project, but didn't have many takers on the forum, guess I gotta go EBAY them now

Oh i almost forgot it only has 101, 500 km! about 60k miles whoo hoo!

also not sure about the OMP, probably does pre-mix, or S-4 pump?

Rudy, those are original LongChamps XR-4 also known as lonsha (how the Jn's pronounce) you can useually find them in 114.3mm pitch, or 110 pitch but only in 13, and 14 inch size. These are 15's so thats kinda different to find them in 15"

Oh and yeah first thing she gets after an oil changes is a bath!

cheers!

Aahhhg!

Ok quick update, the car dealer I was dealing with fucked me over. they were supposed to have "reserved" the car the day I posted the photos, when they called the other car lot to pick it up on thursday it was already sold. I cried a gallon.

then yesterday they called me and said one was going to the auction, and would I like to see the photos, I said hell yeah.

well its the same year, with an imsa kit, stock 12a Turbo, and stock otherwise. I went there today while they where doing the online auction, and got to look at it, and had them bid on it. i won the auction for 798,000 ($7980.00 usd) which is about a grand more than the other car, but htis one has no inspections. it will be delivered next week, and I will post photos then. so nw I gotta decide wether or not to do the 13bt conversion or not, I would have to get a modified inspection when i get it done, and thats about 1~2 grand, so now I am just thinking wether to leave it alone for the time being, or swap the motor.....
