Hey guys I'm new to the rotary world just bought a 84 not sure what sub model but I have a question about finding a rebuild kit for a stock Nikki carb on my stock port 12a. And I can't seem to find a kit that the accelerator pump diaphragm matches mine mine diaphragm has a little notch in it and the kits pictures there squrare with not notch. What I'm wondering is will the kits still work?

Leave the needles and seats alone! Don't adjust your floats!

Heard of rockauto? Get the kit with metal crush washers. Avoid fiber washers.

 

I've been using the GP Sorenson kit from AutoZone for a few years now with good results. I agree with Jeff in leaving the needles alone but I think it's a good idea to check the floats per the FSM. If they are within spec don't touch them. More often than not they are spot on if no one has messed with them. But at least check them to be sure and adjust to spec if needed.
