84 GSL SE carrier side and spur gears
I finally pulled the diff out of my 84 GSL SE. Lucky me the ring and pinon are fine, however the side gears are mashed up in the carrier and the 4 spur gears were gone (but I found the metal pebbles). What years and models have carrier parts that will interchange. The carrier itself and the clutch packs are fine so I was hoping to pull side gears, spur gears and that x shaped spur gear holder off another diff.
I have a freind with a 86 second gen rear, will those carrier guts interchange? If not what parts will interchange (all 84 and 85 rears, or just GSL SE's ?)
Thanks for your help

I broke the spiders into peices so small they wedged into and chewed up the side gears (that the axles go into). Its a pretty impressive mess.
