84 dist igniter

first off sorry if this is an old many time's ask'd question, but i have a dead coil and none of my manuals have any thing spacific about the dist
and the pick up and igniter , i was looking for a factory manual to download on these cars , like we have on someother car sites i'm a menber on but didn't see any thing, if some one can point me to one or a pdf on this i'd be gratefull , or to a spacfic part of this site
84 RX7 non turbo
it's my grand daughters car and her first so grand pa gets the fun of bringing it back to life after 4 yr's of not running
no history other then it stall'd and never start'd again, 4 yr's ago , been seting every sence , already cover'd the fuel tank and new pump and filters now to the dead coil and ign

Chances are you will not find a manual to download. Also, if the car has been setting for 4 years I would recommend replacing, fuel filter,both ignition coils, spark plugs & wires, and rebuilding the carburetor. I would also, flush the gas tank.

thanks Steve if your a little persistent the site does work, no harder to get to load then this one, it took two days to get this site to load back up,,

oh for the other guy the 84 has fuel inj not carberation , and it'l get what ever it needs not what ever i can throw at it thanks

Your dead coil could be a dead ignitor instead. New ignitors are expensive but you can buy them used on eBay. It doesn't hurt to keep a spare with ya too. Here are a couple of auctions:

hey thanks for the ebay post's , i pass'd them on to my son in law he's the one paying the bill, if he can't find a complete dist in the one at the junk yard he'l probly go for one or both of them , thanks again

where would you find a sun roof closeing ****,this one is broken like most i'd guess

The sun roof ***** are hard to find because them breaking is a common problem. It's a rather easy fix. Tear it apart and you'll see what I mean. I didn't want to pay victoria britishs prices os I used a little automotive goop and it held for 2 years.
If you happend to have a red interior, I think I still have one laying around.
If the engine has been sitting for four years, soak it a couple days then turn it over a couple times by hand then fire it up. I used a mix of karosene and oil, but I suppose MMO would work also. It helps free up the apex seals. After 4 years there's a fair chance they are frozen.
