84-85 Silver Face Gauges

Hey

This is now being manufactured by SRMotorsports..........

The price is going to be 69.00 US

This is being made for the 84-85 model

Silver Face..........Dark numbers to Red in critical areas...........

At Night.........Blue numbers to red in Critical areas..........

Stock appearance except for the 55 MPH tick...........This will be removed.

MPH on the outside and Km on the inside.........

I should have photos of the finished product within the week............

Is there anybody on this board interested?

These will be on display at Sevenstock.......If ready in time

These will improve daytime visualization of instruments and give your 7
that updated look.........

Jim

I emailed them asking about a KM-dominant gauge and was subjected to an anti-Canadian blast. They're not getting a dime of my money.

US version to start

The first version is MPH on top

I am sure that if this takes off a KM version will come.

I am canadian also, so Im an sure it is not personal.

Lets see what they look like and go from there.

With your stereo setup......this will be going in the right direction.

I am DEFINATELY interested.

That is exactly what I wanted to update my interior.
It will go well with my carbon fiber style interior and the Silver Autometer Ultra-Lites that I have placed in the dash, and The "A" Pillar Gauges.

I don't mind if they light up blue, as that was my original intention, but if they light up orange, that's fine as well.

Please keep us updated on this, as I will be bugging you about it.

Thanks!

If you are asking me..

It's a 2nd Gen "A" Pillar with a total of 2 minutes heat gun action to make it fit right.

::grumble:: Why do the series 3 guys always get the good stuff? What about us poor suckers with the 85-mph speedo? I've always preferred the earlier gauge style with the bigger, central tacho than the later. To quote Rodney Dangerfield, "We just get no respect.."

My metric speedo has MPH that go a lot higher than 85 MPH. When did the double nickel law start in the US? Was it in the late 70's, early 80's when these cars were on the market there?

it started in '80 but i dont know when it ended. I do know however that my 85 goes up to 130, so it probably stoped in 83 or 84.

I know '81's and '82's all had the 85 mph speedo, and most '83's. Some '83's had a 130-mph speedo. I believe it was the Limited Edition. The '84's and '85's all had 140-mph speedos...

Pictures...............

Hey

They are done........I asked if the writing can be removed outside the tach and the Speedo?

Go to their site and see what you think.......

The gauges will look silver...............the photo made them look grey......They said they came out great.....
So good they are producing them now and you can pre order them.........should be ready in 3 weeks......

They will have a booth at Sevenstock......

For people who want KM version you need to show them you have the numbers to produce them....

Contact them........They will work with you......
