Is there a diference in the metering oil pump for the 12a in 84 and 85? I have a 84 12a front cover, and I'm trying to mount a 12a metering oil pump I got to it, only the bolts dont line up.

The 84-85 12a front cover looks different as well. I checked mazdatrix's site and they say the omp is the same. So what gives here? Could mabey someone snap a pic on how theirs looks so I know how it should look? Thanks guys.

I thought they were the same. I can snap a pic of my 82' setup if you need it.

If you could do that it would kick ***. Plus if someone could do that for an 84-85 non gsl-se, that would kick *** too so I can compair the two.

If I cant figure this out, i'm going premix. (Better stock up on MMO!)

If the OMP you have doesn't match up, then its almost certainly from the wrong year. When I rebuilt my 84's OMP there wasn't any confusion about the alignment of the bolts (although it was ahell of a job to get the right wrenghes in there!).
