84 12a engine in a 79 rx-7
Dizzy=Distributor
The only big engine differences between the 87-80 RX-7's and later models (besides the GSL-SE), is the ignition system and exhaust system.
The older models used a points-type ignition system and a thermal reactor. Newer models used the more standard distributor and a catalytic converter.
