Have you tried jumping it? Or, if you're on an incline, you could try a rolling start (assuming manual). Sounds as if something was left on, or that loose wire shorted, and the battery died. If you can get it started let it idle to charge for a little while before shutting down.

PS: rolling starts have worked for me in the past to get stubborn cars started that sat for a winter or years. I have no clue if it was doing any damage with that type start compared to the starter. I would only use it if all other options were unsuccessful.

I don't think it is the battery it is still sparking when I connect it it's a brand new battery and no I can't roll start it it's on two jacks I have a guy help me fix it but I am waiting on parts. I believe it has something to do with the wire because when I was messing with it the fan blade moved a little like it was on then stopped again I will try and jump it in the morning to see if that does anything.

Check your fusible links. Front side of the driver's side shock tower.

Are you talking about the box in the lower corner with all the color connections?

Ignore the green arrow. The fusible links are the loops of wire to the left of the arrow. Make sure they're intact.

When you turn the key to the "ON" position does anything come on or is the car totally dead?

Everything looks good but I am looking in the dark with a flashlight no sound when I turn the key but I just looked and now my battery is not sparking when I connect the positive and negative so now it may be dead I will see if jumping it in the morning does the trick.

Here's a page from the wiring diagram. The fusible links go to the headlight motor and the fuel pump/combination switch/charging system. You can download an 83 wiring diagram from foxed.ca If your headlights pop up or have power to the motor then that tests, I think, two of those links. A cheap voltmeter is very useful in these cases.

It has not happened to me yet, but I don't think the fusible links change their appearance when they blow. I've always thought they have to be tested to see if they are blown. (could be wrong)

They're supposed to fray/blow the woven insulation surrounding them when they blow. Doesn't always happen, but you can still feel the broken wire inside even when the insulation doesn't give way.

It's happened to me:
