83 gsl wheel problem

83 gsl wheel problem

hello guys i have a 83 gsl and and this piece broke off while i was driving. it looks like a crown and came from the that dick looking piece the the rotor sits on . pretty much the internals and has a pin to hold it in place. i dont know the exact name of piece. any ways im looking for a new one help me piece must be 83. thanks

Ewww, that's not good. That's the lock ring for the hub nut.

Is the wheel still on?

That IS lucky, but I drove my 84 gslse for a year after I bought it used with no lock rings on either front hub. I only discovered they were missing while I was cleaning everything up for a brake job. Lol.
