Angry 83 gs wont hold idle unless gas forced into engine

sup guys, just joined this forum, lots of intersting stuff to see, maybe you guys can help me out with my problem. I have an 83 gs ( my 3rd 7) it was running fine until i started it up once and it would not start. It would crank and turn a little but would not hold an idle. I tried pulling the choke and it started. when i killed the choke the car died. If the choke is not engaged and i try to start the car and adding gas w/ the accel. pedal, it will start but as soon as i stop giving gas it dies.
I just recently had to lube the shudder valve i don't think that has anything to do w/ it .

Possibly a air/vacuum leak. Check all of the small hoses for cracks or leaks. This is very common if you have not replaced them recently.

Fuel Filter? Not letting enough gas get through?? I dunno, that doesnt really makes sense, cause if it wont let gas through with an idle, how is it letting enough through with hit foot on it...Unless it has something to do with the pump not being able to push it through the filter and the vacuum of the engine "sucking" the gas through which aleviates some of the stress on the pump?? I dunno, but good luck man.

When chasing down a rough idle, vacume leaks could
be one,you say you "lubed" the shutter valve,,look
closer to see if it's worn or broken, also the "coasting"
valve loves to go bad and produces a rough idle.
when you have spark, leading and trailing, you can bet
that it's that POS nikki carb.
