83 engine miss

I just purchased an 83 GSL with high mileage,184000.
I drove it about 5 miles home because he said it would run & drive. It did, but has a miss that I would best describe as a plug wire, most noticable at idle to 1500 rpm. It does not really want to idle. I picked up a basic tune up kit & installed cap/rotor/plugs & wires. I noticed a "wet" plug. I'll have to get the number of which one asap. I also noticed the oil pressure gauge isn't working, & I don't think the coolant tstat is either. I know it is a project car, I am looking foward to the transformation. As soon as I am more mobile due to being on crutches from ankle surgery, I 'll take the advice & start wrenching. Thanks for any advice, I'm sure I will frequent this site/forum. It really is a good & imformative site. Newbie out..........
