83-85 Holley carb on an 82
I have a quick question: will it matter if I put a Racing Beat Holley carb that is tuned for the '83-'85 12a on an older 1982 12a? Would they really be "tuned" (ie manufactured or ported) differently, or is it just a matter of the mixture screws being set up from the factory? Can anyone give me an answer?

Well, yeah, I know they are the same engine, but Racing Beat's website sells a couple of different carbs for the 12a depending on which year the car was built. I would imagine that they don't differ much in makeup. I was just curious about the matter.

specially when he/she is stock...Drop and go sort of say...but i never really like the racingbeat setup...cost way to much money...but for somebody who want a drop and go system and don't know what there hell there doing tunning wise i guess that over priced equipment will work for him/her

Are you saying that you can't tune the Racing Beat carbs yourself? That seems a bit odd. I deal much more with fuel injected rather than carburated engines, but I am certainly not averse to turning mixture screws.
By the way, nice looking first gen!
