82 msd resistor question

82 msd resistor question

alright so do i have to install the resistor on an 82? i searched and found nothing, so i'm asking if i do or not, i just wanted to replace my stock coils and i figured these were only 2$ more so i got them,

Replacing the stock coils with Blasters? No, they are just bolt and go.

awesome well i was reading the packaging and it said to wire in 0.8ohm resistor if not useing msd 6a or 6al boxes so i wasnt sure

MSD blaster 2's i just got it running again it smoothed out my idle alot and i belive it made the car a little more peppy that maybe just cause the other ones were so old.

Which ones are you using? As 8202, 8203, 8205 etc. (just some examples that I found on eBay)

Cool thanks. I've been running 2nd gen coils for leading and trailing but was just informed that it's a bad idea for the trailing but I really don't wanna go back to the stock trailing but also don't wanna spend a ton of cash so the blaster 2 sounds perfect.

EDIT: to cover all the bases, FB's and 80 SA's will not need the ballast. Only points will.
