82 exhaust on a 85

82 exhaust on a 85

will swaping the exhasut from a 82 fit on an 85 ? I only need this so I can take emissions and then it will be coming back off, I know there are a few differences in the years judt not sure of the fitment.

Yes, it will fit. The main differences are the support points for the system and I believe it may be the one at the trans. Also the biggest difference between the ssytems is the connecting pipe and muffler.
The 81-82 systems have the dual connection for the connecting pipe and at the muffler.
The 83-85 have a single outlet connection.

I just installed exhaust from an '85 to an '82 and it fits perfectly.. like doctor said, the trans mount is different, but its not that big of a deal
