The new High Flow Cat I bought to install it with my headers when I had it with emmissions crab, then I decided to go witht he Weber setup so there it whent emmissions crap, so I ended up with a brand new cat that I don't need.

The Weber Setup was doing fine until yesterday. My car lost it's sex appeal while warming it up.. I guess it was just coming I just didn't see it.. So now it need to go to my mechanic to have the engine pull and sent for a rebuilt.... So much for fun this summer....

Whell, hope it will be ready for seven stock 5.. cause I want to take it to Ca for it..... The weber was doing great, I think the engine was not up to snop for the additional horse power, cause it gave up to soon after the conversion.... lesson learned, make sure engine is up to standards for the increase on horse power...

So, do you think, that the next engine, when broke-in
with the new setup will live longer ??? What happened
while warming up your car ?? sex appeal (apex seal) ?? and how many miles on the 'old' engine ??
Or were you spinning the hell out of it cold ??

I believe that the new engine will last longer, it will be a street port, new rotor housings, new high volume oil pump, new oil chain, new rb 80psi oil pressure regulator, with the weber setup... I was told that if I put a weber 48/51 it should be popping the neighborhood of 200hp. In the near future I might have to go with a bigger carb, but it should be putting in the high 160 when they get done with it...

Well, the engine was cold, I had just started the engine to get warmed up after a few days, but the signs were already there. It was smoking like hell, never did that before when cold, so it was just a matter of time... so I revved it some to clear the smoke but it will continue to smoke, that's when I knew something was going wrong... then I decided to revvit some more and bang.... I heard the metal popping noise and that was the end of an apex seal. The car actually runs, but not in my book... the front rotor gave up...

That kind of shattered my summer though, but it will be one mean machine when it comes back by year's end or begining next year... I'm hoping it will be ready for seven stock but it doesn't look that way...
