8000k HID's Installed!

I will post pictures up tomorrow of the installation work that was done. These came out so great!! Used Hella H4 Housings which worked out beautifully. The light difference in what you can see on the road is so much more then the stock head lights. The HID's I purchased were off Ebay and costed me roughly $130 shipped. Came with a 1 year warranty as well. More info / pictures later.

Sorry? I was excited about it and decided to. Plus, if anyone has general questions about it I can answer that now without pictures. Have some patience.

You should know First Gen owners have no patience, that's why we never saved up the money for an FD! haha In all fairness I put H4 housings and Sylvania Silverstar bulbs in my FC when I had it and it made a hell of a difference. I'm thinking of doing the same for my SA

You can view his store to see the same kits for sale. Mine actually came with a Hi/Lo setup so I have use for both beams.

Yo Cbz...this was my idea exactly...just get the HELLA H4 conversion lenses and pick up an H4 HID kit! I was going to do this mod exactly how you did it.

Post up pics asap! I am going to do the exact same thing!

Hate to be the killjoy, but putting HID bulbs into any old housing is unsafe for anyone on the road besides yourself.Your gonna be blinding the sh*t out of anyone thats coming at you in the opposite direction, and that includes cops.If the Hella H4 housings you got are HID spec, then disregard my concerns.

HID systems need HID-spec reflectors and housings that provide the proper vertical cuttoff to prevent blinding on-coming traffic, due to the large increase in light production.

You are 100% correct Steve. I wouldn't dream of putting these HID's into old housings. These are genuine *expensive* Hella H4 housings.

They still will not have the correct projector to reduce glare.

agreed. there's nothing i hate more coming at me in the middle of the night than some over-zealous ricer with improper HIDs blinding the living **** out of me. not to mention the time it takes to regain my 'night vision' after being blinded. this happens a lot in a lower car because of SUV's with HID's and such which puts that light right in your eyes.

the h4 conversion has been more than bright enough for me and i even get flashed from others highbeams thinking i left mine on high.

oh, and the fact the stock wiring is not up to the job those ballasts must use.

maybe if you had pics in your first post there wouldn't be so many negative posts. lol sorry man. just don't blind me!

A relay kit can fix that.

Black Dragon takes care of that. It's what I used for my H4 conversion.

these did..

these small Porcelain covers over the front of the hid bulb made all the difference, when you hit the brights, the Porcelain piece moves away from the bulb, moving the beam upward
