8.3 sec. 1/4, 170 + mph, 1.3 60 foot time

Stopped by my friends shop the other day and found out he had his drag car up and running over the weekend. Those numbers are his best time while getting his pro lisence. And he was NOT using the nitrous system!
The car is a 1st gen. (I thought is was a 2nd) with a Jspec motor, running alchohol, 8 injectors, full Motec, a huge Turbonetics turbo and nitrous. It will run in the NHRA modified class. They are setting up a web site right now. www.loweperformance.com

I can't even imaging what a 1.3 60' time feels like, last time at the track i got like 2.2 and that felt pretty nice.

Well, I guess it's not this car...

Because that is a Blow-through Turbo system, with the stock Dizzy. Fast I'am sure, but it's definately not:

His shop is in Sarasota FL.

And that looks like a picture of the car as is was a while back. But no more.
Mike is not very internet savvy. But they are getting up to speed with their web site right now.

I've seen that car on TV before several years ago. I think he had a stall converter set at 6500rpm and he had a 9second time slip.
