'79 RX-7 again...

how much would a '79 be worth with leaky side seals? how much would a new rebuild on a 12A...streetported and all and just a stock rebuild? i am very interested in the one in town..i could offer him $800 because of the motor but i don't know how long the engine would hold up...is $800 undershooting it or what? It doesn't have any mods, stock,135k miles (on a '79 thats damn good), its got a brand new paint job (metallic blue, its beautiful) let me know guys...i need info on this car.

I paid less for mine and the motor has 15k on the rebuild and the paint is great other than 2 holes in the top of the rear drivers fender. but if you like and have the cash for a rebuild ( a good one ) buy it

...be careful Grady... you keep posting about this 79 and I might just have to pick it up, in addition to the 89 TII

Oh, and I just dug this up... I called these guys when I thought the 89 TII engine was bad, and they gave me a pretty good price (with core, o'course)...

Compact Cars Performance
~$2k, 6 month warranty
(941) 354-0442

Talk to Carlos "the rotary guy". He owns many rotary cars, and was generally helpful when I talked with him. They should be able to let you know what you're getting into better than I can. Oh, and the ~$2k from above is for a stock TII rebuild (read: more expensive than a simple 12A job).

Give 'em a call... or I will

Don't even think about it Brandon. I doubt I will get it but ya never know. Gotta talk to the guy and see if he will take 800 for it. He's asking $2700, YEAH RIGHT! No way in hell.
