79' carb?

does the 79' carb tend to run richer then say the 85' carb would because they had the thermal reacter instead of a cat?

There is a difference in the jetting. They are listed in the online carb manual.

The secondaries are all 160. The primaries could be 93, 92 or sometimes 91. The primary air bleeds could be 60 or 70. Carl would probably know which numbers go with which models.
