MI 79-80 dash and radio pictures

I decided My FD was not costing me enough money so I Bought a SA to go with it.

I am in the process of trying to figure out what the previous owner has done to the car. I need pictures of the stock radio surround and stock radio if any one still has one. Previous owner put in after market radio and I want to go back to stock or something like it, but have know idea what it looks like.

Thanks in advance for your help and I'm positive this will probably be the first of many questions.

Joe

Heres a shot of mine I have laying about. Let me know if you want better/different angle.
This is a completely stock/ minty interior in my SA.

Your biggest problem is going to be getting someone to turn loose of a unmolested radio surround plate. hard to come by to say the least.

I was hoping I was wrong but it looks like the dash piece around the radio in my car has been cut to fit newer radio. The interior of my car is very clean and origenal, I want to keep that old school look.
Does any one have a trim piece shown in picture below laying around?
Thanks again for your help, Joe

Good luck! I've pulled two uncracked heater/stereo surrounds like you're looking for (only not for SA, they were FB's) and they were among the first things sold in my parts listings. I can only imagine that for the SA it will be even harder as they are only in two model years, compared to the S2's being 3 years and the S3's being 2 years but higher production numbers.

Hope you find one, if your SA looks anything like your Sig Pic FD I'm sure it's sweet!

This will not be the first wild goose chase I've been on. The hunt makes the prize that much more worth it. If I wanted a car that was easy, I would buy a mustang.
If anyone comes across one, please let me know.

Check out frodogray on ebay. He's not cheap but may have it. If he doesn't have it on auction
message him and ask. He has a lot of spares laying about. I've bought a couple of things from
him in the past.

I messaged him and he is looking to see if he has one. Thanks for the lead.
