Are the doors the same or different I'm looking for a driver side window regulator for my 80 when I'm I'm looking at some parts sites it mentions 79-85 just wondering if they are the same or different any help is appreciated .... Rudy

 

i just used half of an 83 regulator to piece my 79 back together, they measured out all most identical (the 83 was a bit bent so it was hard to tell. but i hope it helps. it is a PITA to get in and out though.

 

for regulators, the part # is the same for all 1st gen's

8871-58-560a for all S and GS model

FA02-58-560 for all GSL and GSL-SE

 

the manual regulators are the same 79-85, the power are the same 81-85.

i think the doors are the same from 81-85, the 79-80 doors have a couple of different holes for the door panel, so they are really close, but a little different
