75w-90?

I just picked up some Redline 75W-90, and on the back of the bottle it says not to use it in most manual trannys, because its so slippery that it will cause gear clash. Did I get the right stuff or what?

thats good stuff for the rear end, but probably not for the tranny.

The best redline stuff for trannies is MT-90. But I dont see why 75-90 wouldnt work.

Put it in and see what happens, if you start grinding gears, change it again. couldnt hurt.

I use Type F tranny fluid with maybe 1 part in 4 gear oil added. Basically after draining the old gear oil out, the stuff that stays in the trans becomes the 1 part.

Works *great*. And it only costs maybe $1.19 a quart.

Yeah, the MT-90 is for the trans, and the 75-90 is for the diff. Go through Redline directly. I have their # at home, so I'll see if I can post it up later tonight. They charge like $7-$8 a quart.
