7 has a GO problem

First off, I just moved about a mile from my place of business, I used to be about 20 miles away, so every day my poor FB got a good walk along the highway. But I've been driving it the mile cause I'm too lazy to ride my bike or walk (actually planning to start riding my bike tomorrow, save on the gas $$$ but we'll see how I feel when the alarm goes off ) So I've been grocery driving it, which is a bad thing for our cars.

On to the problem, and enough about my lazy habits

last couple of days when starting from a stop in first, I step on the gas and the rpms drop, suddenly and the car shudders, then they jump back up to normal, have no real problems when driving, unless I let the rpms drop down to under 2k. I kinda brushed it off, which is never a good thing, and continued driving without poking around. well the other day the rpm drop was so bad my car actually stalled. I don't know if it's a fuel starvation issue or something to do with the vacuums, I will pull the hood open when I get a chance and poke around. running a stock 12a, stock carb and everything. I used the search but my keywords didn't turn up anything useful, if any one has any advice, or would like to point me to a good search keyword that would be cool Thanks!

P.S. I just read my post, and it sounds like I'm a 15 year old trying to learn, stick or something (car shakes when starting in first LOL) I assure you, my clutch work is fine! =D

Try replacing the fuel filter first and put some seafoam in the gas tank.

Just replaced the fuel filter today, managed NOT to spray myself in the face with gas, so I'm happy. I will see how it drives tomorrow and let you know, thanks for the advice doctor sir!

Well I ran it today, and ran it pretty hard too. I didn't notice the starting jitters, I think the fuel filter did the trick, I am suspicious that I may have a tiny vacuum leak though. I'm going to test it tomorrow and see if I can find a leak. It had a little trouble starting today, had to crank and give gas and run it a bit before I got a steady idle, but I think it may have been the heat today 100+ Because when I started it at night started right up perfect idle. I will seafoam it tomorrow (didn't have time to hit up the auto parts store), and see about getting the at least the front brakes replaced, the canyon road I was on today was a little scary with some soft brakes.

Look into getting some stainless braided lines for your brakes. Helped out a lot with the pedal feel on my car. I think about 90 bucks from Mazdatrix. Get a nice set of pads too.
