Red face 6inch speakers fit in 83 gs doors ?

Wankel, you might want to look into getting some door panels to mount them onto first .

Not to move in on Wankel's thread but is it absolutely necessary to mount the component systems in the doors? Say, for instance, you buy a high end set up (6.5 and 1" tweeter) and mount them in the rear stock cut outs and leave the kick plate speakers in place -would this sound decent or is the sound that much better mounting them in the doors rather than in stock locations. The reason I ask is I would really hate to cut holes in my door panels. Sorry for budding in Wankel

I used the stock mounting locations for new speakers for the MP70, and it sounds fine without using the doorskin / window slot as the sounding board or cutting up the door panels

Does MLC produce those, or was that a 'one off'?
