lol I know my friend isnt home at the time so I cant ask him. I am fairly new to 6ports so that is why I dont know. I was looking for an aftermarket manifold, but couldn't find any. Just so I wouldn't have to deal with this stuff. Now are the sleeves actually inside the screw hole, the black thing. It looks like a sleeve to me.

Whoever told you to block off the 5th and 6th ports doesn't know what they are talking about. Your top end horsepower would be severely hurt by blocking them.

The sleeves are special inserts that open and close the 5th and 6th ports. On a stock manifold, they have a rod that protrudes outside the intake manifold and use a special diapham to turn the rod, which turns the sleeve, which opens or closes the port. Removal of these sleeves will leave the ports open all the time.

Ok so I am playing with the parts. I see the stick that goes from the manifold to the canister looking deal. Which part exactly is the sleeve. GOD I feel like a newb all over again. I don't see what the sleeve is exactly. Can anybody post pics of the sleeves themselves because this retard (me) isn't seeing it.

the sleeve is the insert that the upper (i beleive) ports on the front and rear irons. if you look at those port holes there will be going from the upper left to the lower right on the front and upper right to the lower left on the rear, once again i beleive, but that should give a general heads up. they are just bigger than a quarter. you ll see it. if you need any help just give a call 707 315 4526

I run a 6 port s4 with now "sleeves". Plenty of power, but low end does suffer only slightly. As I've been told, 6 ports are for pussies.

Blocking off the 6 ports, is effectively de-tuning the 13B to 12A power levels. On both the front and rear iron, one of the two ports will have a rod across the center of the port opening. Get a pair of pliers and pull on that rod, while rotating it back and forth. If it turns, but won't come out, the sleeves are carboned up, soak them carb cleaner and keep working them. They'll come out.

You should run an air-pump operated 5/6 port setup. Do a search in the archives but it basically boils down to using an air valve from an aquarium to direct the needed amount of air to actuate the 5/6 port sleeves, that way you don't have to sacrifice the low end.
