Parnelli Jones also had a chain or auto service stations did tires and suspension. Torrance CA location well known to rip people off. Broke things on car and client paid to fix it. Fixed perfectly good cars...etc... in the paper. Finally closed that location.

Put a shadow on an otherwise good name.

I know all about the 2nd gen models, but I saw a first gen anniversary edition, and assumed that it would have been the 5th, an 83. thanks for your feedback though. Lates matt22

I don't think that there was a "5th AE" advertised model. I think there was an Limited Edition in 83 though. IIRC, it was basically a GSL with a special paint, rims, and leather.

Yeah, the 83 LE, was only available in Chateau Silver, with red pinstriping. Special wheels, and another standard thing or two.

There was an 80 LS that I never knew about, until I saw one at a local club meet. Came with LS badging, leather interior, vinyl headliner, and it seemed everything that could be gold (or brass colored) in the engine bay.....was. All the bolts and brackets.....it was very interesting.

That didnt do well clearing up the confusion.

The 10th AE model, was an 88 monochromatic white TII.

Mazda's 10th anniversity edition in the states is 1980, so that makes sence. 10th anniversity of the RX-7 is 1988, so that too makes sence.

I remember hearing that there was a Luxury Sport (LS) in 1980, but I've never seen one, nor do I know anything about it.

Badassrx7 has or had a LS model. I have 2 LS badges
that i removed from one at my local boneyard.

Pernelli jones, or andy granatelli, i think it was tune masters. place was a complete flop.

Mazda made a rag top TII i think. and mariah motor sports has a 10th AE TII rag top for sale. or designenergy IS mariah motor sports.

But to answer the question the 'rare' model was LS
either 1500 or 3000 in N America. something like that.
