Question 5th and 6th ports

so i went through the steps of opening my 5th and 6th ports on my 85 gsl-se and then got under the car and was looking around and realized the vac line wasnt conected to the cat...and that there was no place to conect it to....so my question is what is an alternative to get them to open besides the electric air pump??? is it healthy for them to be open 24/7?? i was thinkin about putting the vac line to the smog pump but i wasnt sure if it would be good....so anyone got any ideas?? thx

When I put headers on a 6-port motor, I tap one of the tubes for 3/8" NPT threads, screw in an 1/8" brass elbow the has a compression fitting on one end an connect 6-8" of 1/8" brass tubing to the rubber line that goes to the steel line for the aux ports.

I have a pic somewhere if you need it, may take a bit to find it.

I have had success with this on both the SE's and S4 6-ports, materials are less than 10 bucks.

3500-3800 rpn is the norm. On the SE I did, they open at the same time as the secondary injectors do. On my 2nd gen, in the pic, there is a slight time differential between the 2. When they both open, it gives a nice kick.
