48ida vs 45dcoe

im trying to figure which carb i can get more hp out of and which one is easier to tune. Also jus wanted to see what everyone is running on there rx7's.

All things being equal tuning should be about the same. The 48IDA definately has more power potential and is what most high power n/a engine's run. If you want a DCOE then a 48 would be a better option as the 45 would be erring on too small even for a stock port.

I've got a 48IDA, and it LOVES to be opened up and rapped out to 8k+!

Unfortunately, mine is running so rich, that the only time it has a perfect stoich mixture, is at 6k and higher.

The only time I hate an IDA is during a hot summer days at Socal stop and go freeway traffic. That’s at least 95 degrees on the scale.
