Never used a 40, but from experience 44 is good for stock and just fine for a streetport. Find a deal on one?

Check out www.rotaryaviation.com and email Tracy Crook (the site owner) with any questions regarding the Mikunis carbs (three of them) that he re-jetted to feed fuel to the original stock 1988 13B that he used to have in his RV-4 sport plane. (He's now running a Fuel-injected Renesis engine in this plane).

He can likely provide you with info on the correct jets and manifold set-up that would give you the best volumetric efficiency.
