I was under the impression a 40 would be too small...

I am not sure if anyone makes a intake for a idf carb, maybe a ida could be adapted to idf, but why not just run a ida to begin with. I have dual 44's on my bug engine, and was thinkg about it with just one, but the manifold might be hard to find, maybe a stock manifold could be modded to work(light clicks on). I think a 44 idf might flow enough for a stock 12a, I am going to run a side draft weber dcoe 45, and they seem to flow enough. Please let us know if anyone else has any ideas on this, thanks.

from what i've read on other rotary-specific sites, the IDA and IDF can share a manifold. there are just differences in the carbies themselves.

as for the original question, i think 40 will be too small if it's the only carbie used for both rotors.
