The 12a engines are 4port, and are in most 1st gens. There was a 12a 6port, but we didn't get it here in the US. The 13b is a 6port, and is only in the GSL-SE model. Of course that is only for 1st gens, the newer turbo 13b's are 6 port, and the newer NA 13b's are 6 port. There was also a 13b 4 port that was in an older car or two, but I can't remember which one. I think it might have been the RX-3 or -4, and the REPU.

N/A FC engines are 6port, Turbo FC engines are 4port. All FD engines are 4 port.

Because on a forced induction engine, the air and fuel in pushed into the engine rather than sucked, so the 6 port design is not needed, and would only hurt flow.
