this is a double edged sword

6 port will give you better get up and go on a stock motor/setup

4 port will be a lot better when doing modifications, you wont have to muck with the 6 ports and such, also turbos are generally easier to do on a 4 port.

Then you'd want to go with a 4-port, are there even any bridgeported 6-ports around? Never seen one.

are there issues with using a 89-91 turbo motor compared to a 87-88 turbo motor(would swap in high compresion rotors). i know that i would need a SE front plate and SE oil pan. is there any differnce in the installation of the two series?

I know the differnce between the motors i was talking about is there any problems that would make the series 5 motor more difficult to install than the series 4 motor

turbo s4 engines have 8.5 and s5 has 9.0.

s5 N/A has 9.4 or 9.5 but I know thats the highest you can get. you will need the appropriate counter weight and flywheel.

The port timing is different on a turbo engine but this can be fixed with porting.

If you look back at Grassroots racing from a couple years ago they built the Ro-spit, which has a half-bridge ported six-port engine that had been by Tri-Point Engineering.

Just a thought.

In this setup only the six-port plates are cut with bridges. The center housing is given a mild street port since there is limited steel there to be cut.

Just a thought.
