2nd gen steering wheel

Hey, I got an 88 SE wheel from a yard the other day and found that it bolted right up! No differences in spline count or anything. Cool. I like the 2nd gen steering wheels better, but they're larger in diameter and could pose a problem as they may hit against the legs. Anyone else tried this? I put it on my 80 but it has no seats...

It's larger in diameter? Gee the 1st Gen steering wheel seems like a bus steering wheel to me. A small diameter wheel is on my wish list. Got any pics to post?

Yeah I put a nice black leather wheel out of a gxl in my SE this summer. Much better feel because its a little thicker. And yes the diameter is slightly larger but u would have to drive it to tell the difference. Doesn't rub on the legs either.

Now if you want an aftermarket steering wheel, you can search using 2nd gen years as well.

I've got a cool Mazda wooden steering wheel that looks way cool. One of these days I'll post a pic - I need a digi camera.
