2nd Gen NA accel cable into a 1st Gen SE?
Alright, since the SE cables have been discontinued from what seems to be everyone, my tech guy told me that I can stick a 2nd Gen NA accelerator cable in replacement of my stock accelerator cable.
Is this true? The pictures that Black Dragon Auto provide in their parts catalog make them appear identical, but those are just scaled pictures. I was also told that it is a pain to make a universal SS braided accelerator cable (from the likes of Summit Racing) to work correctly with our cars.
So, 2nd Gen NA accel cable into my '85 SE will work or no?

I don't know about an SE, but I am using a 2nd gen accel cable in my 83 with 89 engine, and it works. Its not the best cause the angles are a little different going through the firewall, but it works.

Oh yeah, I forgot to mention that I did so a search, and the only one that came up was where someone was moving a lot of his 2nd Gen stuff into the engine bay of his 1st, and it was said that as long as it was an 2nd Gen NA cable, it would do fine for the motor. However, my predicament is different as I'm just needing a new cable.
I'm wondering if maybe some time with the Dremel and a universal SS cable from Summit Racing might do the trick, if the 2nd Gen NA cable won't do so well?
