Could you be a little more specific? What type of help? What areas are you having trouble with?

I think you need some more info, so that the techy guys on this site will be able to help.

You would have to run the ECU off of a 2nd gen to do this. The trailing ignition on a 2nd gen is controlled by the ECU.

There is no advantage to doing what you are asking.

The easiest to do is the 2nd gen mod for the leading side only.

The other upgrades are a little more difficult.

All of this info can be found in the Archives or by doing a search with the terms 2nd gen coil.

i actually asked a very similar question in the second gen forum recently (im swapping over to carb in my FC and i wanted to retain the stock ignition... i have reasons) and i was told that the CAS ignition needs a MAF signal to work worth a damn. so ive settled on swapping in a first gen distributor and use it to fire the second gen leading coil.

Yep, that's what I'm running right now. Not as much power as when using the transistor trick, but until the new version is finally done this is probably the best you can get without spending butt loads of cash on MSD.

Its very easy to do, and very worth while...
