how to run the distrubuitor less ingnition on a 12a ....how to wire both coils from the 2nd gen and the sensor that goes in place of the distruibutor into a 12a

You would have to run the ECU off of a 2nd gen to do this. The trailing ignition on a 2nd gen is controlled by the ECU.
There is no advantage to doing what you are asking.
The easiest to do is the 2nd gen mod for the leading side only.
The other upgrades are a little more difficult.
All of this info can be found in the Archives or by doing a search with the terms 2nd gen coil.

i actually asked a very similar question in the second gen forum recently (im swapping over to carb in my FC and i wanted to retain the stock ignition... i have reasons) and i was told that the CAS ignition needs a MAF signal to work worth a damn. so ive settled on swapping in a first gen distributor and use it to fire the second gen leading coil.

Yep, that's what I'm running right now. Not as much power as when using the transistor trick, but until the new version is finally done this is probably the best you can get without spending butt loads of cash on MSD.
